Picked up some mushrooms and berries to take to town for dinner and breakfast with GF. Why on earth do I not do more of this, letting all this just rot is just insane.
One reason I don't forage more is because I never set apart enough time for dehydrating or canning, and I don't have a freezer. But those are just excuses, of course.
I got lots of time for making up those!

I know what you mean. I look back and I can see that I could have done more... I also have good excuses :-)
Where I live there is no place to forage except along side the road. All land is owned and it you get off the road then you are trespassing whether it is posted or not and can be prosecuted. So says the state law. I did get a good supply of mustard this last February and could have had mushrooms this month from my own yard but I don't know one from another. I'm working on that. I wonder what's in the woods behind my house but I dare not go there.
