Streams of semi-consciousness

It's one of the small, quiet joys of early winter. As the lakes freeze, you get to see the patterns in the movement of the water. The later a part freezes over, the more movement, or warmth. The water moves faster at inlets and outlets, of course, that's not such a big surprise. But always beautiful.

I agree. Winter is truly a state of semi-consciousness. We humans need to take this time to rejuvenate not only our bodies but also our spirit.
