I have fantasized about a greenhouse for a long time. And last year I did manage to drag up most of the materials I need.
I keep my eyes peeled for inspiration. Here's one, thirty miles south of my place and just a couple of feet above sea level, that obviously hadn't been used in a long while. It's interesting because it was, though it's hard to tell now, quite carefully made but, somewhat more obviously, at low cost. The roof and some of the walls were corrugated fiberglass of some sort. Greenhouse roofs here don't really need to be transparent, as the sun is up all day in the summer and very low on the horizon in spring and autumn.

Not needing a glass roof never occured to me. I suppose it also helps not having glass on top when it snows, which is an issue here as well.
I'm hoping to make a small cold frame/greenhouse here on the balcony at some point, but I'm unable to find the heavy duty plastic sheeting for it. Of course, it would help if I knew what the German for 'Heavy duty plastic sheeting' was.

I have found I often prefer books and articles from the 70's or early 80's. After that, there is generally more and more focus on buying stuff, and less and less on making.
I have noticed too that all that terminology for building and construction does come sort of late when learning a foreign language.
I'm giving mine away for free as I don't need it... transportation would be a bit outrageous tho... good luck in your endeavor...
